Energy saving SmartScan system installed at Redditch Station

Redditch MP, Rachel Maclean, and the Mayor of Redditch, Jenny Wheeler joined representatives from London Midland and Thorlux Lighting at the unveiling of the new Redditch Station SmartScan lighting installation.

Train operator London Midland has worked with Thorlux Lighting, to install a raft of cutting edge technologies at Redditch station. The new lighting has transformed the platform areas and car park, providing a brighter, safer and more welcoming environment for passengers using the station. The addition of SmartScan has seen energy savings of 75%, despite increased lighting levels and running hours.
